I am a qualified Clinical & Radiation Oncologist and part of the Oncology team at the Panorama Centre for Surgical Oncology (PACSO). I obtained my MBChB degree at the University of Stellenbosch after which I completed my Internship and Community Service in Potchefstroom. After that I left for Canada where I worked as a Family Physician for almost 7 years. During that period, I also obtained my Certification in Family Medicine from the Canadian College of Family Physicians. South Africa however beckoned us to return, and I accepted a training post in Radiation Oncology at the University of Cape Town. Upon completion of my South African Fellowship exam, I pursued a Clinical Fellowship focusing on Urology and Lymphoma at the University of Toronto, Canada.
I have a passion for integrated oncology care where all aspects of a patient’s cancer journey is addressed. Patients should be able to seamlessly transition between all involved disciplines whilst maintaining continuity of care. I firmly believe that a team approach from the very beginning leads to superior oncological outcomes and also increased patient satisfaction.
I have a special interest in Breast cancer and Urological cancers but welcome any oncology referrals outside of those fields.
